Academic Overview
At WTOA, students engage in flexible, high-quality learning experiences supported by certified educators and digital learning tools designed to meet individual student needs. Coursework is aligned to Indiana Academic Standards and supports academic growth, credit attainment, remediation, enrichment, and college and career readiness.
Instructional Model
WTOA combines teacher support, digital coursework, progress monitoring, and personalized learning opportunities to create a flexible and student-centered academic experience while maintaining clear academic expectations and pacing toward graduation.
Digital Learning Platforms
Edmentum
WTOA primarily utilizes Edmentum Courseware to provide standards-aligned digital instruction across a variety of subject areas while supporting pacing, progress monitoring, and teacher communication.
IXL Learning Support
WTOA utilizes IXL to provide targeted remediation and enrichment in mathematics and English/language arts, helping students strengthen skills, build confidence, and support academic growth.
Teacher-Supported Learning
WTOA students are supported by certified educators from North Central High School and the MSD of Washington Township community who provide academic guidance, communication, progress monitoring, and ongoing support throughout the learning process.
Advanced Coursework
WTOA students may have opportunities to participate in Advanced Placement (AP), Dual Credit, Indiana College Core, synchronous coursework, and expanded online course offerings through partnerships with North Central High School, Indiana Online Academy, Indiana University High School, and additional approved programs.
College & Career Readiness
WTOA students have access to academic and career-focused pathways designed to support postsecondary readiness and future success. Through partnerships with North Central High School and J. Everett Light Career Center, students are able to personalize pathways connected to college, career, and workforce goals.
